The first EVER mountain bike ride of 2011.
Today was a beautiful overcast spring day with gusts of winds ranging between 30-60km/h and a few drops of rain. Harmony Creek Conservation Area/dog walking park provided the opportunity for a session of OneUps. It was in the top 5 of our best mountain bike rides ever. With an average speed of 13.6km/h and a top speed of 48km/h, the 1 hour 15 minute ride fatigued both the mental and physical characteristics. Although the speeds are deceiving, we knew that our sensations were not lying to either of us when our power device told us that we had averaged 132 watts.
The quality time spent on the bike established our fitness and helped with our overall preparation for the Ontario World Championship Circuit. Stay-tuned for more OneUps!
